A step up story

27th March 2018

Founder: Ed Hollands

How to face down business dragons, fund your business and inspire your people were all on the menu this morning at the latest Vonage event.

Ed Hollands, the 22-year old advertising entrepreneur who recently won investment from a BBC Dragon, was first on stage. He talked to guests about his experience on the show as well as the inspiration behind his business, Driven Media. Ed’s creation converts spare space on lorries into advertising opportunities, giving users the opportunity to catch the eyes of thousands of motorists.

He was followed by Penny Power, one of the UK’s most influential start-up advisors and founder of Business Café. The pre-launch business will help entrepreneurs and business leaders make connections and share knowledge and resources. Simon Burckhardt, Managing Director of Vonage UK, then took to the stage to talk about the importance of the small business community to UK plc. and Seven Hills Co-founder Nick Giles compèred the event.

Last year, Vonage released Unlocking the UK’s Home Business Potential, which details the untapped potential of the home business community in this country. To read more about it go here.
